The golden trio of Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Ruper Grint grew up on the sets of the Harry Potter franchise. Having spent a little more than a decade together, the bonding between the cast and crew members grew deeper with every movie that they returned to.

Going through their teenage years, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson had quite a special bonding. From trying to flirt with other people to getting anxious when flirted back, the duo had each other’s backs when it came to romantic relationships!

In Radcliffe’s defense, that’s what happens when you put 200 students in the Great Hall while the prisoner of Azkaban is loose…you fall in love. Going through one of the best time periods of their lives, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint have uncountable memories on the sets of the Harry Potter franchise.

Having each other’s backs, the Harry Potter star revealed in an interview that every part of his life is connected to the franchise. Talking about some of the romantic encounters that he had gotten himself into, Radcliffe revealed that he would always go to his co-star Emma Watson and discussed with her what to do next.

“Every part of my life is connected to ‘[Harry] Potter’. My first kiss is connected to someone here. My first girlfriends were here. It all spirals out from the part of set somewhere.”

He further continued that he recalled the romantic experience as nightmarish as Radcliffe would become anxious with the number of kisses that he received via text.

“If she [Emma Watson] was texting a boy or I was texting a girl, I would be like, ‘She sent me this many kisses back. What do I do? This is a nightmare,’”

Although The Jungle actor did not divulge details, it seems that the actor indeed had fun on the sets of Harry Potter. Speaking of crushes, Radcliffe did divulge a little incident that none other than Alan Rickman and Michael Gambon played on him which may have interfered with his love life!

Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the movies, would actually become scared whenever Alan Rickman (Professor Severus Snape) appeared on set. Well, Professor Snape and Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) decided to prank Daniel Radcliffe one day on the sets of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Radcliffe had a crush on a girl and he was placed deliberately beside her while filming. As soon as the shot started and Rickman and Gambon were strolling and talking, the fart machine inside Potter’s sleeping bag let out a huge noise!

“The camera starts very, very wide, and comes in so that it’s an inch from my face, a very long developing set. Alan Rickman decided he would plant one of those fart machines in my … sleeping bag, and they waited until like — the camera had come in for this huge DRAMATIC developing shot, and then unleashed this tremendous noise in the Great Hall.”

The set ends up erupting in laughter and it may or may not have affected Radcliffe’s relationship with the girl that he fancied. The Harry Potter franchise is available to stream on Max in the U.S.
